Picks of the Week: Mp3tag, Mozilla Firefox 5

Picks of the week

Andrew's pick: Mozilla Firefox 5

Mozilla Firefox 5 is the first release in Mozilla's new rapid release cycle for Firefox. Version 5 brings several new features including CSS animations, support for Canvas, a new add-on SDK (formerly Jetpack), plus performance improvements in areas like JavaScript and launch time. Also new to Firefox 5 is the do-not-track feature. With privacy being a major concern these days, having a way to opt out of being tracked by advertisements is important.

Sunkast's pick: Mp3tag

Mp3tag is a program that allows you to easily add meta tag and ID3 tag information to audio files. It supports popular formats like wma, mp3, aac, m4a, flac, and ogg. But also some lesser known audio formats. It has tons of features. Easily batch edit files. Grab info from Amazon, discogs, freedb, or MusicBrainz. Rename files based on tags. You can also add cover art, create playlists, and export reports and lists. Best of all, it's free. You'll be hard pressed to find free software with as many features as Mp3tag.
