2GHz Coordination with DoD

Broadcasters and the Defense Department will be sharing RF spectrum in the Broadcast Auxiliary Service (BAS) band (2025-2110 MHz), the spectrum commonly used by TV stations to transmit breaking news stories back to the station. Sharing, without interference, involves coordination; Enter the SBE and RJ Russell, President of Technical Broadcast Solutions, Inc. (TBSI).  RJ Russell is our guest speaker on this month’s SBE WEBxtra.  He explains the frequency coordination program necessary to protect broadcasters, yet allow the DoD better telemetry and communication.

Chriss Scherer, SBE Member Communications Director, begins our meeting with news updates for SBE members.
